Alè Masera! Great victory in the first leg of the Piedmont Cup semi-final
It was held in Masera the first leg of the Coppa Piemonte semifinals of the women's Serie D that saw the landlords opposed to Atletico Sangiustese.
A difficult race, against the favored opponents on the card, both considering the trend of the championship and that of the direct seasonal matches, both won by a large margin from Turin. It was therefore necessary a test of character and intelligence to the Masera to try to play on equal terms against a team so well equipped.
And the Maserese have put in place from the first minute everything they had available both from the technical point of view that character. Tortora has chosen to confirm the 4 - 2 - 3 - 1 seen in the last seasonal outings, delivering the midfield to Noretta and Ferraro given the absence by disqualification of Betlamini, and confirming owner in the role of wing Molinari with the intent to further help the backlog in the non-possession phase.
The beginning is subservient for both teams because of the hot weather and the tension for the stakes: they are made to point out a couple of cues of the number ten adversary but that do not give any danger.
At the 23 'the episode that unlocks the game: on a pitched ball that is about to fall on the edge of the area, Martina Cerini pounces and anticipates all of a shot on the fly that crashes into the corner bringing the Ossola. For the striker of the Masera is yet another gem of a season to be framed, which has seen dominant in both the league and the cup.
The opponents, shaken by the disadvantage, try to replicate: at the 30 'still the number ten of Sangiustese frees the rear of the Masera and is alone in front of Battro: the shot is powerful but hits the inside of the crossbar and bounces off, accompanied from the sigh of relief of the numerous public who came to Masera.
With the passage of time our manage to take the measures to Turin, succeeding in offensive with some starts to create some danger, but without finding the winning inspiration. The first fraction ends with the result of 1 to 0.
At the beginning of recovery muscular problems stop Molinari, replaced by Canonico. The game gets worse, and there is no lack of hard game fights, with the game that is often interrupted to help the players.
Around fifteen minutes of the recovery also hurts the central defensive Lorenzone with Tortora forced to redesign the team: Nicoletta Cerini passes in the middle of Antonietti's side with Canonico climbing on the defensive line, while the new entry Ferrari takes the band right.
The match continues with a sensational cross struck by the number ten of Sangiustese (game in a position more than suspicious) face to face with Battro, while on the other side Rovereti tries with a precise conclusion from the limit to surprise the goalkeeper who takes refuge in the corner.
At the 75 'the second goal of the Masera: Piolini is the protagonist of a personal action on the left, with his cross that reaches the center of the area where the number two opponent in an attempt to postpone, settle down and settles the ball on the net.
But the match is far from over: the Masera must avoid conceding a goal thinking of the return. All players seem exhausted, Molli leaves the field three times for cramps (but always falls stubbornly, finishing the game) leaving for a few minutes in ten.
The two Canonico and Ferrari entries seem to have something more on the athletic level, like all the Masera in general to tell the truth, and the feeling is that there are more conditions for 3 0 more than a return of the opponents.
Just Ferrari in the end is the protagonist of a personal sorti dragged by the public roar, but his conclusion does not find the network.
Thus ends 2 at 0 for Masera against Atletico Sangiustese. Once the game is over, the spirits are still warming up, with the guest players having some bickering with some fans off the pitch.
The feeling is that ours have been able to best honor their last seasonal home game and have all the cards on the table for the passage of the round, but that will serve another great game at San Giusto Canavese Sunday 12 June, because the Turin will be fierce and ready to do anything to recover the passive matured in this match.
