The draws were held for the Champions League quarter-finals. Fate has decided to confront formations that on paper would seem to have an almost predictable result.
Fate, perhaps, wanted to put a strain on those looking for a semi-final and those who think they already have it in their pockets.

We see the program of 4 meetings that will be played with round-trip races on the 24 / 25 March and the 1 / 2 April:

The first draw, all Spanish, sees the emerging Atl├ętico Madrid challenge the most noble and favored Barcelona. The Catalans, in command of the Spanish classification, have an impressive roster, the madrilene, second at -1 point, have reached this derby suffering but winning with great unity of intent. Prediction in favor of Barcelona.

Lyon v Bayern Munich is a comparison with a very successful outcome, at least on paper. We'll see if the very strong French formation will be able to keep faith with past results and if the Germans will be good at turning our forecast all in favor of the French cousins.

Glasgow - Wolfsburg is a less obvious challenge than you can imagine. The German team is no longer the battleship of the past, although in command of the German championship, the indomitable Scots are timidly peeping out to the quarters and will surely give life to a match of great competitive value. Prediction in favor of the Germans.

Arsenal - Paris Saint-Germain would be an X race, but since there will have to be a winner I bet on the English, also to see the London side suffer in the semifinals like our Fiorentina against them.

For my personal predictions, the semi-finals should be as follows:

1: Arsenal v Lyon
2: Wolfsburg v Barcelona

Apart from the fantasies supported by the statistics, at the end of March we are awaiting 4 great match. As a Florentine I do my best good luck to our Elena Linari to overturn my prediction and reach the semifinal. For the rest, win the strongest and most deserving.
