1922 happy birthday cf16
England, 1922: post-World War I period. In those years, to compensate for the absences of the men engaged at the front, many English women were employed in activities such as working in the numerous factories distributed throughout the territory. One of these factories was the "Dick Kerr", which produced munitions in the city of Preston.
It is within this factory that the "Kerr Ladies" women's football team was born: many women employed in the workers' work spent time during lunch breaks playing football, thus ending up developing a passion and skill that inaugurate the fate of a sport that, between highs and lows, still struggling to establish itself on the world stage.

He played the first official match with his new team, remaining in the field for an hour in front of more than six hundred spectators in the spectacular setting of the Vicarage Road of Watford. The new English adventure of Giulia Ferrandi (in the picture taken from Watford's Twitter profile) started on Monday evening with the yellow shirt of the team coached by Katie Rowson, who currently occupies the last position of the Second Division of the Women's Super League and who was defeated by 0-5 in the challenge against the London Bees' arancioner.

It will therefore be an adventure - yet another - under the banner of hard work that of Giulia, but the call of Watford is at the same time the confirmation of how much the Italian striker has been appreciated across the Channel in less than a year.

Arrived at West Ham United last summer together with Romina Pinna (now in force at Bari, nda) and Erika Campesi, Giulia had moved to the current season at the Brighton & Hove Albion, team that then won the FA Southern Division (the girls of West Ham, however, have reached terzultime).

The adventure at Watford in addition to allowing Giulia to get closer to home (Brighton is several kilometers from London) will also allow you to keep playing and train, as the championship takes place right in the summer so as not to overlap with the male one.

The new leap forward and the arrival in WSL2 will also allow Giulia Ferrandi to play in the antechamber of the maximum football series English women, where the companies are in line to win as a testimonial to the soccer players of Her Majesty's football elite and where the final of the FA Cup last week at Wembley has brought to the stands almost thirty thousand spectators.

Getting there is the dream of all those girls who every day in England run after a ball and, to bet on, even Giulia who with her "I have to work a lot" seems to want to launch yet another challenge to herself. A challenge to try win, of course, like all those faced so far.

With a network of Danielle Carter Arsenal yesterday won his fourteenth Fa Cup female in the English league by beating Chelsea, the champion of the title (the Azzurri last year had beaten Nott's County).

Played in the beautiful setting of Wembley, the red and white team managed to win the challenge against the opponents of the Chelsea showing greater cynicism in the goal with five shots in the mirror against the only opponent.

And the third title in the last four editions of the Arsenal trophy, which has a real collection of fourteen of these cups on its bulletin boards. The second in number order is Southampton with eight.

The news that should make us think, however, is not so much that of the Arsenal trophy record, but that of public who gave this final, which saw the historical maximum of viewers obtained last year of 30.710 literally ragged of two thousand units.

The accompanying image of this article is eloquent: on the stands of Wembley to attend the challenge between the girls of Arsenal and Chelsea 32.912 spectators were present. An exponential growth if you think that the 2014 edition (played at the MK Stadium) recorded just over fifteen thousand appearances and that of the 2013 just under five thousand.
