On Monday 10 February at the Mariano Di Dia in Strasatti, the Marsala Women under 15, faced Catania Women by beating the opposing team by 1 to 0, with a beautiful goal Erica Agate (class 2007) at 18 'of the second half.
This is the absolute debut of the Marsala Female under 15 at home, since the Marsala team participates in the regional championship as a neophyte: last season it has, in fact, shared with Trapani Calcio.

The regional under 15 championship is a one-way championship, where the teams will face each other only once or at home or away from home, according to the calendar, until the semi-final and final stages are played. The winning team will play the place nationally. The teams participating in this championship are: Female Marsala, Trapani Calcio, Female Catania, Palermo Calcio, Balestrate and Sicula Leonzio.

The girls led by Mister Valeria Anteri and Cristina Casano pleasantly surprised the large audience. They played with determination and determination against a Catania who proved to be a valid opponent but in the end the home team, at the end of the second half, with a beautiful choral action put to use by the Marsala born Erica Agate decreed the victory arousing great enthusiasm on the stands.

Elena Tumbarello, Melania Adamo, Lucrezia Donato, Giorgia Mannone, Helena Clemente, Oumaima Bahloul, Teresa Sorrentino, Greta Marino, Sofia Agozzino, Erica Agate, Arianna Spalla and Giulia Ganci, the athletes who honored the field in this first home game. Recall that they are all athletes ranging from 2005 to 2007 with two out of quota who are Helena Clemente (the captain) and Lucrezia Donato (the goalkeeper and vice captain) who play in the first team as well as Giorgia Mannone. The team made up largely of Marsalese, in addition to two from Trapani includes two girls out of territory, Giulia Ganci who reaches training three times a week from Montevago and Sofia Agozzino who is on loan from the Gimnic Club Stadium in Sciacca.

This second day of the championship (the first game against Balestrate was suspended due to adverse weather conditions) gave great satisfaction and enthusiasm to the girls, the two technicians and above all to the President Giuseppe Chirco, who is finally seeing his dream grow that is to create an important nursery for the first team, a necessary condition to be competitive in the championship of excellence and above all in the upper categories.

In this regard, Sunday 16 February at 9:30 the Stadio Lombardo Angotta, home of the Men's Marsala Football, will open its doors to the FIGC to host the women's open day: "Pink week: bring a friend" and our Valeria Anteri will be present as provincial delegate of the FIGC, inviting all the girls who are passionate about football who want to take on this difficult but splendid challenge.

Great excitement at Marsala for next Sunday's appointment, for the great final of the Sicilian Cup which will see our girls engaged against the formation of Monreale, for what promises to be an exciting match with a highly competitive flavor, given the stakes at stake.
