The first team of series B has exceeded the Imola for 1-0 and has confirmed the third place in the standings. The Juniors have accomplished a real challenge by beating Florence in the Tuscan Cup for 2-1.
AREZZO - The arrival of spring brings three great successes to the Blue Star. From the Serie B to the Giovanissime, the Arezzo-based women's football club has confirmed the exceptional value of its teams by winning all the races played on the weekend and settling at the top of the various regional and national rankings. Particularly important was the acute of the first team of coach Tiziano Pelliccione who reinforced the third place in Serie B by storming the difficult field of the Imola for 1-0. The race started with a momentary dominance of the Romagnole who started to press but who did not create any problem for the defense of Arezzo.

With the passing of the minutes the Blue Star has grown and began to take the field until, at the beginning of the second half, Giulia Bruci was good at scoring the 1-0 taking advantage of an indecision in the exit of the opponent's goalkeeper. From that moment on, the Aretine maneuver has become even more incisive, thanks to the inclusion of the young striker Costanza Mascilli who has given greater depth to the action and has allowed Bruci to conquer a penalty that, beaten by power by Elena Bruno, was however rejected by the extreme defender of Imola. At the end of the game to climb on the shields was Valeria Mazzola, goalkeeper of the Blue Star who with two beautiful saves saved the victory and allowed his team to take the standings to a single length from the second square occupied by the Mestre.
The success in Serie B was preceded by the company created on Saturday by the Juniores team, which in the Tuscan Cup beat the Italian champions of Florence for 2-1. The Blue Star has stemmed the great technique of the viola with a charismatic and aggressive game that allowed her to take the lead with Jenny Tabaku and to double at the beginning of the second half with a perfect free kick by Carolina Paganini. The comeback of the Florence was then stemmed by a superb test of the rearguard that, well led by Francesca Cantini, has suffered only one goal succeeding in defending a success that now celebrates the Blue Star as the great favorite for the victory of the trophy. The Giovanissime di Paolo Purchases were also a joke to the Arezzo society, who, after winning the regional championship, made their Tuscan Cup debut against Fortis Juventus with a great success for 3-0 signed by Francesca Carleschi and Rachele Nappini. . «Our teams - says sports director Omar Neri, - are going well beyond any rosy expectations: the third place in B, the victory over Florence and the title of the Giovanissime confirm the Blue Star and the city of Arezzo among the best of Italian women's football ».
