Star-blue - team-2013-2014The Arezzo-based company hits a point against Castelvecchio in his first Serie B debut race. At the "Città d'Arezzo" a match was played heavily conditioned by heavy rain.
AREZZO - The Stella Azzurra adventure in the B series of women's soccer begins with a good draw. On a Sunday heavily influenced by heavy rains, the Arezzo company debuted at the municipal stadium "Città d'Arezzo" with an 0-0 obtained against the Romagnole of Castelvecchio, an expert formation of Savignano sul Rubicone which has been fighting for many seasons in the cadet series . The Blue Star, technical team and fast, is the training that most suffered the heavy weather conditions of the day so at the beginning of the game has struggled and left the game at the feet of the opponent, more robust and physical than the landlords. Despite this, the Arezzo have held up well and, with the passing of the minutes, have appeared in growth, conquering more and more field and approaching the opponent's goal.
Especially in the second half the Castelvecchio began to feel tired and so the Blue Star has further raised the center of gravity forcing the formation of Romagna to close in defense, although, despite the effort, the result has remained nailed on the 0-0. "It was a positive debut - says Claudio Chiarini, general manager of the Stella Azzurra. - The heavy rain has limited our game and has prevented us to show off the technique and speed that usually characterize us by favoring, in the first half, the physicality of the opponents. In the end we witnessed a substantially balanced race and therefore the draw is a good result that allows us to start the season on the right foot. In the aftermath of the race we must further thank the councilor Romizi and the municipal administration for the concession of the stadium in Arezzo because, despite the rain, we had the opportunity to play on a pitch that has held up well and that has allowed us to live a nice debut in Serie B ». This debut thus satisfies the management of the Stella Azzurra and the technical staff led by coach Massimiliano Pedalino who, despite the difficulties encountered, has had the opportunity to draw numerous technical and tactical indications to work on during the week to improve the team. In the next round, the Arezzo are expected from the first season trip, with a long journey that will take them to Mestre, a Venetian formation back from a win for 3-1 on the field of Imola, to play a race in which the Blue Star will try to center the first, historic, victory in Serie B.
